Quality Water Solutions, Inc. has been in business in Central Illinois for over 75 years, continuing a legacy that began in 1937. Through steady expansion, acquisitions, and commitment to outstanding service, the Chapman family expanded the company’s influence throughout the region. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Quality Water Solutions operates from its headquarters in Pekin, Illinois, delivering a complete line of water treatment products, including water softeners, conditioners, refiners, reverse osmosis systems, point-of-use water coolers, iron and rust filters, gas, odor, tannin, and color removal systems, as well as ultraviolet light systems. Quality Water Solutions is the water treatment dealer of choice for Central Illinois, with systems available for purchase or rental.

100 Years of Innovation – EcoWater Systems was founded in 1925, when Lynn Lyndsay obtained the very first patent for the automatic Water Softener. Today, EcoWater Systems is a member company of The Marmon Group, a subsidiary of the Berkshire Hathaway Company, owned by Warren Buffett. WQA Gold Seal
This seal means equipment has passed rigid industry performance tests, and is validated by the Quality Water Association. The WQA is an organization of industry equipment, manufacturers, suppliers and dealers, dedicated to water quality education.
NSF International
National Sanitation Foundation International sets standards for food service equipment, swimming pools as well as healthcare equipment and tests and certified products in compliance with public health.
UL Recognized Component Seal
This seal is issued by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. Representative samples of the component have been evaluated by UL and meet the acceptable UL requirements.
ISO 9001
ISO is the International Organization for Standardization of Geneva, Switzerland. ISO 9001 is among the world’s most widely accepted quality systems standards. EcoWater Systems LLC is the first manufacturer of water treatment products to be ISO Certified.
where we started
Our History
Soft Water Service Launches in Illinois
The Sweney brothers founded the Sweney Servisoft dealership in Peoria, Illinois in 1937. It was the first water softening company in Peoria and one of the earliest ones to be founded in the state. This business would later be acquired as part of our current company.
Lindsay Soft Water Company
A Lindsay Soft Water Company dealership was founded in Peoria, Illinois by Earl Hagen and Harold Weyneth.
Start of Family Business
Marc Chapman founded Lindsay Soft Water Company in Galesburg.
First Business Acquisitions
Marc Chapman purchases Lindsay Soft Water Company in Peoria and incorporates his company as Quality Water Services, Inc. in 1987. A year later, Sweney Servisoft is also purchased.
Peoria as Main Office Location
Quality Water Services, Inc. moved into a 3,500 square foot retail office location at 500 E. War Memorial Drive in Peoria and consolidated under the EcoWater Systems name.
The Company Expands
Quality Water Services, Inc. purchased EcoWater Systems dealerships in both Bloomington/Normal (Hipple Water Conditioning) and Springfield (Mickle/Wernsing Water Conditioning), expanding our business to cover all of Central Illinois. Quality Water Services, Inc. built a new 22,000 square foot warehouse facility at 2200 Lakecrest Drive in Pekin, Illinois.
New Generation of Ownership
Marc Chapman’s youngest son, Jason Chapman, purchased the company in 2010 after working in the business for over 18 years and becoming certified through the Water Quality Association as a Master Water Specialist. He and his wife, Niki, incorporated as Quality Water Solutions, Inc.
It's a Family Business
Jason and Niki’s children, Alex and Emily, graduated college and began working full-time for Quality Water Solutions, Inc. as third generation family members. Outside of work, we enjoy traveling, playing cards, and watching our two favorite teams: St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers! Casey, Niki’s brother, is also our Operations Manager.
Location Consolidation
In 2024, Quality Water Solutions, Inc. moved all operations to Pekin to better serve our customer base. This consolidation will allow for higher quality customer service and improved communications among staff and leadership. Walk-ins welcome during business hours!
