Free In-Home Water Test & Analysis

Our free water test is a no-obligation, in-home analysis performed by a certified water specialist. We check your water for the most common issues — hardness, iron, chlorine, pH, and more — and walk through the results with you on the spot, so you actually understand what’s going on with your water.

If your water needs something more specialized — like testing for bacteria, nitrates, or heavy metals such as arsenic or lead — we can arrange lab analysis too. Either way, the test comes first and the recommendation second: we only suggest a system if your results call for one, and we size it to exactly what your water needs.

What It Is

What Happens During a Water Test

A water test is a quick, hands-on analysis of your home’s water. A specialist visits, takes samples right from your tap, and checks for the issues that matter most in Central Illinois — hardness, iron, chlorine, pH, and clarity. You’ll see the results as we go and learn what each one means for your home.

If everything looks good, we’ll tell you — there’s no obligation and no pressure to buy. If we do find something, we’ll explain your options in plain language and, only then, recommend a system sized to your water. Testing is simply the honest starting point for any water decision.

Been with this company a long time. First one to solve most of my water problems and concerns. High quality equipment, concerned employees, and great continuity of care. Just had my annual checkup and everything good. Dennis is a perfect example of knowledge and trustworthiness. Thanks

I was so pleased to find out that there is a salt delivery service. The technician tested my unit to ensure that it functions properly and he put the 200 lbs of salt into it for me.

Eco Water (Peoria/Pekin) is the only water system company I would ever use. I live on a farm with a well that is very hard and has methane and significant iron. Other commercial water systems did nothing to reduce the methane or iron. Every toilet, shower, sink, and tub were permanently stained with iron. When I built a new house in the same location the builder recommended Eco Water. Although the system was not cheap and it took a couple iterations, I finally have soft water that does not spit water back to me (no or reduced methane), there is no iron, and the slime in the toilet tanks is gone. I can even wash whites at my house! In order to keep the water condition optimal, I am on a quarterly maintenance schedule. Due to the poor water quality? thus is the only way to keep the system operating properly. Dave and Dennis are the best technicians!

We could not be more pleased with the ERR3702 system recommended and installed by Quality Water Solutions! Our Certified Water Specialist, Emily, was diligent in evaluating the annual water report filed by our village and identifying the undesirable elements to be removed. Additionally, the ongoing presence of fluoride in the water was maintained consistent with our request. The delivery and installation process was professional, expedient and seamless. The installer, Mike, was an invaluable resource throughout the process. I especially appreciated his support establishing wi-fi connectivity to our new EcoWater System. Any suggestion referencing the potential DIY installation of these systems is delusional as I believe the attached images substantiate. Mike's connections demonstrate a journeyman level skill set. Finally, the attributes of the system were evident within hours of activation. Iron and lead staining in the sinks and ceramic showers previously required the attention of commercial cleaners with each usage in our newly constructed home. Those stains are a foregone memory and the moisturizing impact of the water on one's skin is immeasurable. The entire process has been a "game changer" for us in regards to the comfort and functionality of our new home, an outcome we could have never envisioned.

EcoWater Systems / Quality Water Solutions, Inc. was incredible to work with. Their entire staff was extremely knowledgeable about all of their products and the installation process. The entire project was completed within 4 days and that was only because of scheduling conflicts on our end. Highly recommend using this company if a water softener is needed in your home.

Common questions

Water Testing FAQs

Answers to what Central Illinois homeowners ask most about water testing.
Yes — completely free, with no obligation. A certified specialist tests your water in your home, reviews the results with you, and only recommends a system if your water calls for one. It’s the easiest, lowest-pressure way to find out what’s in your water.
Our in-home test covers the most common issues in Central Illinois — hardness, iron, chlorine, pH, and clarity. For concerns like bacteria, nitrates, or PFAS, we can arrange lab analysis. Together, that tells us exactly what, if anything, your water needs.
Start with a free well water test from our team. We check for iron, sulfur, hardness, and pH on-site, and arrange lab testing for specialty concerns like bacteria or nitrates. Well water can vary a lot, so testing is essential before choosing any system.
The in-home test is quick — usually a short visit — and you’ll see the key results right away. If we send samples to a lab for specialty testing, those take a little longer, and we’ll follow up with you once they’re back.
Not at all. The test is free and there’s no obligation. If your water is fine, we’ll tell you. If we find something, we’ll explain your options and let you decide — no pressure, no hard sell.
For city water, testing when you move in or notice a change in taste, smell, or staining is a good idea. For a private well, about once a year is a smart habit, since well water can change with the seasons. We’re glad to help you keep an eye on it.
